Let’s Grow Wild Together on May 29th!

This spring, Lakeview is proud to partner with the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources for the Growing Wild program, a statewide effort focused on supporting pollinators and helping gardeners create healthier habitats right here at home. Beginning Saturday, May 30th, the first 75 customers will receive two pre-selected native 1 gallon perennial plants, a packet of native wildflower seed, and an informational brochure filled with helpful tips and resources for building pollinator-friendly spaces. Native plants play a critical role in supporting local bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and beneficial insects because they have evolved alongside our regional wildlife for thousands of years.

The Growing Wild program is all about making pollinator gardening approachable and rewarding for everyday gardeners. Whether you have a few containers on a patio, a sunny flower bed, or a large backyard landscape, adding native plants helps provide food, shelter, and nesting areas for important pollinators throughout the growing season. Beyond helping wildlife, native perennials are often incredibly hardy, drought tolerant once established, and well adapted to New England weather patterns.

And if you happen to miss the first 75 giveaways, do not worry. Customers who stop in during the event will still have the opportunity to enter a drawing for a $50 Lakeview Nurseries Gift Card. We invite you to spend some time exploring our expanded selection of native perennials, pollinator-friendly plants, shrubs, annuals, herbs, and vegetables during one of the best planting seasons of the year. A few plants may not seem like much, but together they help create thousands of tiny stepping stones for pollinators across Massachusetts.
